MEMBERS of Woodside Park United Synagogue’s Israel Committee are delighted to raise £5,000 for two worthwhile causes.

Dyrham Park Country Club in Galley Lane, Barnet, hosted a charity golf day on the hottest day of the year.

Organiser Ronnie Lask of Woodside Park united synagogue’s Israel committee said they were “delighted to have raised so much money for worthy causes”

He said: “The funds will go towards the charities so close to our hearts, Intra equestrian therapeutic farm in Ra'naana and Miriam's Dream residential home for people with physically disabilities in Jerusalem.

"Thank you to everyone who supported us in raising essential funds for our chosen charities.”

The money will support two charities based in Israel. The first is Miriam's Dream residential home in Jerusalem, which gives wheelchair users with severe physical disabilities, the ability to live independently.

The second cause is the Intra equestrian centre near Netanya in north Israel.

The centre offers therapeutic horse riding for children with autism, adults with mental illness, wounded soldiers, terror victims and others.
