PROPOSALS to transform Finchley’s old police station have been amended after consultations between the developer and community.
Proposals from developer Fizzy Living, included replacing the old police station in Ballard’s Lane into a seven-storey block of 70 flats.
In October 2014, the developer completed the purchase and was labelled a “significant acquisition”, as it planned to design and build the development itself.
In April this year, the Times series reported how neighbours were “appalled” by these plans.
People claimed it would “damage the community feel” as well as increase the traffic on an already busy road.
Fizzy Living has said they have carried out “extensive consultations with both residents and Barnet Council” to address their concerns.
