Police officers are returning to East Finchley to talk to people who were in the area when a woman and her nephew were murdered.

It has been one week since Annie Besala Ekofo, and her nephew Bervil Kalikaka-Ekofo were found dead in Elmhurst Crescent.

The post mortem examination of Annie Besala Ekofo of concluded yesterday (Sep 21) at Northwick Park Hospital.

The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.

A man has now been charged with two counts of murder and will appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow (Sep 23).

Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of people injured at an address in Elmshurst Crescent, East Finchley at around 6.25am on Thursday Sep 15.

Detectives will be in the area today (Sep 22) to speak to people who would have been around at the time of the shootings.
