Four separate robberies at knife-point have been found to be linked.

The incidents, which took place on two separate days before Christmas, all occurred in West View, Hendon and are being investigated by the Met police.

West View is an alley running between Brampton Grove and Babington Road.

All victims were threatened with a knife and made to hand over mobile phones and cash.

The first two robberies were on Friday, December 16 only four minutes apart around 7.20pm.

In both instances, the victims were approached by two men, one of whom threatened with a knife, and the pair fled towards Hendon Central tube station after the second robbery.

The third victim managed to flee the scene without handing over his things when approached by one man with a knife around 10.35am on Wednesday, December 21.

Later that day, around 3.20pm, two men approached a fourth victim in the alley, where he handed over his things under the threat of a knife.

None of the victims were hurt.

Barnet CID detective constable Jim Christie said: “The victims in these four incidents had simply been going about their daily business when they were threatened and, on three occasions, made to hand over personal possessions.

“It is of paramount importance the suspects are caught as soon as possible and I am urging anyone who has any information – no matter how small – to get in contact.”

The first suspect is described as Mediterranean in appearance, aged between 18 and 25 years old, 6ft tall and of a slim build.

The second suspect is described as a light skinned black man, aged between 18 and 25 years old, 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with a moustache.

Detectives from Barnet CID are investigating, no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

In addition to appealing for witness, detectives are also asking anyone who has a CCTV camera overlooking the alleyway to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Jim Christie at 101 or by emailing james.christie@met.police.uk
