A new, free service has been introduced to help older people looking for work secure a job.

Work Routes 50+ offers over-50s specialist services designed to increase their chances of finding a job.

Delivered by employment experts Reed in Partnership, the new Barnet branch of this service is based at Balfour House in High Road, Finchley Central.

The services provided for jobseekers include CV writing, skills training, interview practice and financial help with the cost of child care, work clothes and travel.

Every participant is assigned a dedicated adviser who works with them to find a suitable career path and create a personal employment plan.

Participants are given access to exclusive job vacancies not advertised elsewhere as well as on-going support even once they have started work.

The programme is available to people from North, East and West London who are aged over 50 and are seeking employment.

Work Routes is delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions and co-funded by the European Social Fund.
