A care home took part in an 'Around the World in 80 Tastes' as they celebrated a new campaign.
Staff, residents, friends and neighbours of Sunrise of Elstree care home, in Edgwarebury Lane, took part in the Taste of Sunrise campaign that highlights the importance of nutritious food for older people.
Guests were able to follow the footsteps of Phileas Fogg, the protagonist in the 1873 novel Around the World in 80 Days.' They were treated to a dining experience, sampling traditional dishes from around the globe.
Mariam Rafi, director of community relations at Sunrise of Elstree, said: "We all had a wonderful time. The 'Around the World in 80 Tastes' event was great opportunity to celebrate Taste of Sunrise and a chance to educate people about the need for a nutritious diet as you grow older.
"We want to thank our dining team who work hard every day to ensure every single resident receives exceptional food which meets their individual needs and that our residents enjoy the highest quality of care. We are so proud of them.
"Dining for a lot of our residents is the focal part of the day and it is important that what they are served gives them something to look forward to."
