Football memorabilia and shirts are being sold for charity in Finchley this weekend.

The one-off event at the Green Room charity shop on Ballards Lane will raise money for The Barnet Green Coop, a charity raising awareness for environmental and animal causes.

Items to be sold include football shirts for £3, a model of the Emirates Stadium and a collection of autographed photos of Manchester United players, including David Beckham.

Sale organiser Noel Lynch said: “The sale is causing quite a bit of interest and several people are donating more items. We got a donation of 19 framed and autographed pictures of football stars. We already had a good stock of shirts, scarves, programs as well as hundreds of books.”

During the sale the shop above will also be holding a “Recycled Inspirations” exhibition for new artists from the surrounding area.

Artwork on show includes a rock sculpture, ceramics, metalwork and accessories made from rice sacks and tyres.

The sale opens on Saturday and Sunday from 11 until 6pm at the Green Room in the Grand Arcade, Finchley.
