Do you know where this photo was taken?
Valerie Thompson, formerly Pacey, wants to know the name of the pub where she celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in June, 1953.
The 71-year-old said the pub was directly opposite The Plaza cinema, in King Street, which was more recently used as a bingo hall.
She said: “It would be great to find out where the photo was taken and see if any readers recognise themselves in the photos.
“My father, Leslie Pacey, is the one stood beside the police officer in one of the photos and I am the one wearing a big bow in my hair.
“I’d love someone to tell me which pub it is."
