Thieves have made away with three motorbikes in two days.

Police are urging bikers to make sure their motorcycles are safe following the three thefts in Watford, on Sunday and Monday.

It is believed the culprits travel to the scene in pairs, on mopeds and scooters, and the police are asking anyone who has seen people acting suspiciously to get in touch.

The stolen bikes are a black Yamaha Xmax, a Grey BMW R1200RS and a green Kawasaki ZR800.

Yesterday, the Observer reported that 23-year-old Jason Dyer was offering a £750 reward for anyone who helped him find his motorbike.

The blue and white Suzuki GSX-R 1000 was stolen from outside his work in Queens Road, on March 23, and it had a personalised registration plate that was his 18th birthday gift from his mother.

Watford neighbourhood inspector Nick Lillitou said: “I urge people to review the security of their motorcycles.

“Riders should always lock their bikes to something secure, such as ground loops, and consider fitting an alarm.

“Wherever possible, store motorcycles away from view and use a cover to avoid advertising what you have.”

Anyone with information should call Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
