New images and amended plans of the North London Business Park redevelopment will see 150 more homes built in the area, but residents complain the plans show no amendments to access from their roads.

Over 50 new documents were added to the North London Business Park redevelopment application, which will see 1,350 homes built in buildings from eight or nine storeys, as well as a five form secondary school, a gym, open space and improvements to transport.

But Weirdale and Ashbourne Residents group (WAR) has complained that no mention has been made about the new pedestrian and emergency services access road, which will join their roads to the development.

Resident Martin Berliner said: “We are still making our way through the revised plans but there is no mention from what we can see of the Weirdale / Ashbourne access - in fact on that boundary there are also no plans relating to keeping the trees currently screening the site from the residents overlooking the site.

“There are even more dwellings planned for and still with ridiculously high blocks of flats in a densely populated area.”

WAR sought consultation on the plans after the first consultation closed in August 2016, but only received information about the reduction in height of the apartment blocks and affordable housing, leaving questions about the access road unanswered.

The council said that the three week consultation starting soon would be publicised to residents and that the planning team would be willing to speak to the group about their concerns.

The amended plans show a 10 percent affordable housing provision and reduction in the height of the tallest buildings from 11 storeys to nine.
