Parts of Britain are set to bask in an early summer heatwave this week as temperatures soar.

Forecasters are predicting temperatures as high as 27C by the end of the week as a pocket of warm air moves over England and Wales.

Temperatures can be expected to remain well into the 20s for most of the week across most of the country, with largely sunny conditions set to accompany the rising mercury.

But will these favourable conditions continue into the Bank Holiday weekend?

Well at the moment it’s not looking great, with the summery sunny spells predicted to break up over the course of the three-day weekend ahead of next week’s half term.
