A gang of burglars who broke into houses in five borough have been jailed.

Stephen Kelly, 22, Beau Abououf, 27, Danny Logan, 21, all from Camden, and Daniel Hill, 22, of no fixed address, were sentenced to a combined 23 years in prison.

The gang stole hundreds of thousands of pounds of cash, jewellery and electrical equipment in 16 break-ins over a seven-month period between November 2015 and June 2016.

Kelly, Logan and Abououf were also charged with robbery after they pinned down a mother in front of her child while they stole jewellery from her house.

Detective Inspector James Hale, of the Met’s Trident and Area Command, said: “These men were all professional burglars who committed crime in a highly organised manner to support a lavish lifestyle.

"They have shown a complete disregard for the victims of their crimes, many of whom have suffered severe financial and psychological damage."

The Met's London Crime Squad analysed phone data after arresting Kelly and Logan in March 2016, which widened their search to Abououf and Hill as the group were seen sending messages and images to one another, flaunting stolen goods.

Over the course of the investigation police linked the four men to 16 burglaries at homes in Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing and Haringey between in their seven-month spree.

Mr Hale continued: “We believe there may still be other individuals linked to this group who may have been involved in the conspiracy.

"I would urge anyone with any information about these men to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
