A supermarket is calling on neighbours to vote for their new charity partner.

Sainsbury's in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, is searching for a charity in the area to support as part of their "local charity of the year" scheme.

Charities in the running are Potters Bar Children with Special Needs group, a Sixty Plus lunch club and Carers in Herts, who support carers in the county.

Karen Staples , Store Manager at Sainsbury’s Potters Bar said: “We’ve shortlisted some great charities this year which do brilliant work in our community.

"It’s really important that our customers have a say in the charities we work with, so we’d urge everyone to vote in store or online over the next couple of weeks.”

Voting is open until June 25 so visit the scheme's website to choose your favourite, and the winner will be announced in July.
