A hospital worker had his rare bicycle stolen while working a night shift.
The US imported bike had been a 30th birthday present for the man bought by his wife.
It was taken at some time between 7.50pm on Tuesday, May 23 and 8.15am the next day from the rack near the maternity ward of Watford General Hospital.
The lock on the chrome-coloured 6KU bike had been broken and it has not been seen since.
Police from the Watford Safer Neighbourhood Team are appealing for information.
Anyone with information should contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
