Some of Barnet's best have been awarded for their community contributions and entrepreneurship in the Queen's birthday honours list.
Peggy Sherwood has been awarded an MBE for her services to the Jewish community as former president of the Jewish Gay and Lesbian Group, while researcher and associate pro-vice chancellor of University of Essex Shamit Saggar has been awarded a CBE for his services to public policy and social sciences.
Founder of lingerie brand Nubian Skin Adetola Kunle-Hassan was awarded an MBE for services to fashion for her range of nude underwear for women of colour.
And John Cox, who heads up the Air Historical Branch of the Ministry of Defence was awarded an OBE for services to the RAF and aviation heritage, as well as Paul Mullins for his services to business and the economy for his work as former chairman of the Industrial Development Advisory Board and current chairman for the Education and Training Foundation.
