A blue plaque was unveiled for a "prolific" gardening club member who passed away last year.
Ela Klein helped maintain the gardens at Wimbush House, Westbury Road, as part of the Wimbush Court Gardening Club.
She passed away last year after battling cancer and her fellow Wimbush House residents Larry Hemington, Tony Gowers and Donald Crickmay organised a memorial ceremony to unveil her blue plaque and keep her memory alive.
Ela's family attended the ceremony as well as Barnet Group chief executive Troy Henshall, Mayor Brian Salinger and Barnet Council leader Cllr Richard Cornelius, and toured the sheltered housing to see photographs of Ms Klein.
Mr Henshall said: "Ela was an amazing individual whose contribution to our gardening clubs was exceptional.
"You can tell from the effort her fellow gardeners have made how much Ela meant to all those who knew her and it was special that her family and friends could celebrate her life in this way."
