Barnet have made Colchester United defender Richard Brindley their second signing of the summer.
The 24-year-old right-back made 43 appearances for the U's last season, having previously helped Rotherham United win promotion to the Championship in 2014.
Norwich born, Brindley came through the academy with his hometown club but had to find his first minutes in men's football with Chelmsford City in the National League South.
Moves to Chesterfield and then Rotherham followed, before a loan spell with Colchester was turned permanent in 2015. 68 league appearances in Essex followed, before his transfer to Barnet.
Head coach Rossi Eames told the club website: "It's a fantastic coup for the club as he's got vast experience.
"He fits the profile of the player that we look for and he's got excellent pedigree. He was part of an excellent side at Colchester and he's going to bring athleticism, technical and tactical abilities to our back line."
