A cyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash yesterday.
Just after 6pm on Wednesday, the cyclist was travelling with a motorcyclist along Roundbush Lane in Aldenham when he came off his bike.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Police officers are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant MacLeod, from the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Road Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who believes they saw the cyclist and motorcyclist, who was travelling on a black and silver scooter, shortly prior to the collision.
“The cyclist and the motorcyclist are known to each other and were travelling together when the collision occurred.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt MacLeod via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 659 of July 12.
