Pupils with special needs left their primary school with a graduation ceremony.

Children at Woodlands School, Bransgrove Road, Edgware, had a graduation ceremony to mark their departure from their school as they move to new secondary schools in the area.

Headteacher Anna Smakowska wished the pupils well as they leave for pastures new.

She said: "Our leavers graduation is one of the key milestones in the lives of our pupils.

"It was a proud moment in time for pupils, their parents and carers, as well as, the hard working staff who guided, encouraged and supported them to achieve such great success in their time at Woodlands.

"I would like to thank our staff for supporting the transition programmes and for the work that went into the preparation of the graduation assembly. We wish all our leavers the best of luck in their new secondary schools."

Mayoress Margaret Davine also attended the leavers ceremony.
