A severe car crash left three people hospitalised and police are appealing for witnesses.

A silver BMW 3 series and a red Toyota Aygo hit each other at 8pm on Saturday, July 22 in Shenleybury, Radlett.

The male driver of the BMW was later discharged from hospital but the female driver of the Aygo and her male passenger remain in a serious but stable condition at St Mary’s Hospital, London.

Police from Hertfordshire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forwards to help with their investigation.

PC Dale Morris, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “We are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this collision and I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles shortly before the incident to get in touch.”
