ONE of the RAF’s flagship museums has launched its summer programme for children, adults and families to enjoy.
Here’s the top four summer activities at the RAF Museum in Grahame Park Way, Colindale.
1. Summer of Spies
Children can train to become the next James Bond on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between July 24 - August 30 at the Spy School, or listen to stories about one of the air force’s most iconic agents, Indian princess Noor Inayat Khan.
2. Walking Tours
Take a trip down memory lane and learn about how Hendon’s rich aviation heritage, taking a stroll along former airfield sites and aerodromes. Taking place on various dates.
3. Summer Cinema
Treat the family to an afternoon of cinematic indulgence with family favourites Planes (U), Valiant (U) and Up (U) on show on August 3, 17 and 31.
4. Family Festival of Flight
Just before the August bank holiday, on August 25 and 26 from 11am, children and adults can try out various aeronautical activities such as the paper airplane challenge, the Squadron Dog family trail and even trying on some of the gear to turn the little ones into fully-fledged RAF pilots.
