The search is on for a driver trying to lure women near his car.

Police are asking for witnesses of the incident on the Parade, Prestwick Road before 9pm on Sunday, July 30.

A woman in her 20s was walking on the pavement with a friend near a white car with tinted windows at the time of the episode.

A white man aged between 25 and 30 with blonde hair opened one of the car doors and beckoned the victim over.

He got out of the car and approached the women, asking them both to “come here”.

The man spoke with a foreign accent, and was wearing a blue top with white writing on it.

The victim and her friend declined before leaving the area in the direction of Oxhey Drive.

Police Constable Aristie Wright said: “Neither of the women were injured during the incident but were understandably unsettled.

“Therefore I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed what happened.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the area between the times stated, as you may have captured the vehicle parked in the area.”
