A mental health charity is hoping to make a splash in the area with a new group.
The charity Guideposts is looking to set up a new swimming group in Borehamwood on Monday afternoons at The Venue Leisure Centre swimming pool in Elstree Way.
The Hertfordshire-based charity has been working for more than 40 years to help people living with a range of problems including autism, learning or physical disability, dementia or sensory impairment.
They group’s goal is to focus on improving people’s wellbeing, and studies have shown that swimming can help calm the mind through low-impact activity.
Guideposts are appealing for any potential swimmers who would benefit from the service to join their club at £2 a session.
