Schoolchildren joined an international artist to paint a mural in the community.
Artist Billy Colours co-designed a mural with children at Childs Hill Primary School, which was then painted by volunteers and members of charity Paiwand to paint the mural on Wednesday.
Paiwand, who was behind the initiative, supports refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to rebuild their lives and integrate.
Mum of two Deepa Mistry, who volunteered her time to paint the wall, said: "Today has been very special experience. There has been a supportive and joyous atmosphere which has proved to me the power of community.
"I’m so glad we will be now reminded of this message every time I drop my children off to school."
Billy Colours has worked on community art project around the world, including Mexico, Nairobi and Japan.
