Campaigners are calling on the public to make their views known over a town centre regeneration.

The Golders Green Station Action Group are calling on those living in the area to make their views known regarding the regeneration of Golders Green.

Barnet Council has sought consultants to help gather viewpoints before moving forward with plans after a recent planning brief, which would see the dismantling and rebuilding of a war memorial, was withdrawn after more than 1,000 oppositions from residents.

Fluid, the consultants conducting research into the regeneration, will collaborate with the council and other "stakeholders" to ensure the plans moving forward are befitting to the area.

Ron Finlay, of Golders Green Station Action Group, said: "Local residents and businesses, and everyone who uses Golders Green, should take part in the survey so as to help ensure that the future development of the town centre really meets people's wishes.

"Better to get things right at the start of the process than have to seek significant changes later. Make your voice heard."

The consultation website is now open and information on how you can give your views can be found here.
