A teenager was stabbed in a knife attack after a dispute with a group.

An 18-year-old man was driving his moped on October 10 by the junction of Burlington Rise and Gallants Farm Road in East Barnet when he became involved with a dispute with the drivers of a dark blue car.

The victim fell from his moped after allegedly being hit by the car, and four or five occupants jumped out of the car and began kicking and stabbing him.

The victim received several stab injuries to the upper back and groin area and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He has since been released.

DC Gemma Mariner of Barnet CID said: "We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, who may have witnessed it taking place, to come forward and speak to police.

"A man was seriously injured during this incident and we would like to hear from anyone who may have any information."

One of the attackers has been described as a black man with an Afro-style haircut and shavings out of his eyebrows.
