Intu Lakeside ice-rink has opened!
On the 11th November, Intu Lakeside opened its doors to its ice rink. With beautiful deep purple and sparkly silver ceiling decorations it is more than enough to get any grizzly grinch into the festive spirit. In the background, classic christmas music plays- not only enhancing the christmas spirit but also helping to lessen the impact of falling flat on your bum on the ice (I fell three times for the record)!
Joshua Evans, a student from Dagenham, says that the leisure centre’s christmas activities are ‘a great idea‘ and have ‘most definitely gotten him into the christmas spirit’. ‘Skating today was amazing and I cannot wait to go again!’ he added.
The ice rink has transparent glass panels around it, allowing the outdoor winter sky to set the cosy atmosphere to anyone around.
The attraction measures to be around 600 metres long. Tickets can be purchased on the door or online and ice skates are included in the price.
The rink will be open until the new year, shutting for christmas of course.
