Schoolgirls visited Parliament to celebrate a week of activities.
St Anthony's School for Girls marked national UK Parliament Week by visiting the Houses of Parliament, as well as meeting their MP, Mike Freer.
Pupils explored the election process by holding their own student council election throughout the week, with each candidate tasked to give their own campaign speeches before a vote took place.
Head teacher Laura Flannery said: "It has been inspiring to see the girls engaging in activities surrounding UK Parliament Week. At St Anthony’s School for Girls we recognise the importance of educating our pupils for the future and understanding democracy is an important part of this.
"We look forward to continuing to explore the topic further in our own school throughout the year with our newly elected school council members, including our reception representative."
