The Voxcetera chamber choir will be playing a festive feast of musical delectation for the Christmas season.

All Saints Church will be filled with Christmas cheer this weekend when the Voxcetera chamber choir and J50 Brass band and organist Paul Ayres present a mixture of sacred anthems, popular Christmas crackers and traditional carols for the audience to join in.

The Muswell Hill-based choir will dazzle with yuletide favourites Winter Wonderland, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and Silent Night, as well as atmospheric music from composers such as Benjamin Britten, John Tavener and the concert's organist.

The choir's founding conductor, Jane Hopkins, says: "We’ve had a rewarding year, both in London performing to packed audiences at venues such as St Martin-in-the-Fields, and away on tour.

"But preparing and performing our Christmas concert is always a highlight. There’s nothing like huddling in a beautiful church on a winter’s night and being transported away from the bustle of December.

"For many people it’s the one time of year when they hear choral music, and indeed the one time when people sing together."

Voxcetera's Everlasting Light concert takes places at All Saints Church, Durham Road, East Finchley, N2 9DP on December 9 from 7.30pm. Tickets available at voxcetera.co.uk
