One of the most iconic musicals in history is back in London's West End after almost six years.

Chicago, which has a 15 year run in the capital, will be returning to London at the Phoenix Theatre from March 26, but tickets are already on sale and selling fast.

This year marks the 21st anniversary of the show, and has been one of the most successful years in the show's history during its UK tour.

The story follows a young Roxy Hart, a woman with dreams of making it to the stage like her idol, Velma Kelly, a showstopping performer who was put in jail for the murder of her husband.

Roxy soon follows in her idol's footsteps in more ways than one, and requires the help of fast-talking lawyer Billy Flynn to help her get out of jail quick, while her trial places her in the limelight and paves the way for a glitzy and glamorous career.

At present, casting for the new production is yet to be announced, but with previous incarnations featuring stars such as Tony Hadley, Denise Van Outen, Bonnie Langford and Jerry Springer, there's no doubt the bill will be nothing but impressive.

Previously the show has been performed at the Adelphi Theatre, the Cambridge Theatre and the Garrick Theatre, as well as Broadway playhouses and in 34 other countries worldwide.
