A theatre school secured £7,000 for a homeless charity by competing against other boroughs in a 'showtime' parade.
Susi Earnshaw Theatre School, support by Incognito Theatre, competed in the London New Year's Day Parade as Barnet Council's entry, pitting them against 14 other councils across the capital.
The parade, for more than 20 years, has invited all London boroughs to enter a group of performers to wow the crowd for a chance to win money for a charity.
Mayor of Barnet, Cllr Brian Salinger said: “This is an amazing start to 2018. I’m so proud of all the work the Susi Earnshaw Theatre School and Incognito Theatre put into the Parade. The performance was stunning.
"The £7,000 donation will enable Homeless Action in Barnet to support even more people in Barnet through one of their various initiatives."
The performers for Barnet came fourth, the highest anyone from the borough has performed in the parade, while Westminster Council took the crown.
