A potato growing competition is the new challenge set by a horticultural group.
Hampstead Garden Suburb Horticultural Society are holding a potato growing competition, where the heaviest crop after a few months will take home a prize.
The society are giving out seed potatoes and grow backs around the suburb on February 3/4, at venues to be confirmed, and will be judged at their flower show on June 16.
Potatoes should be planted on or around March 29, and those wanting to enter should contact Yvonne Oliver on 020 8455 8741 or yvonne.oliver17@gmail.com to enter or for more information.
