An elderly, vulnerable man has gone missing.

William Battman, also known as John, 81, was last seen at around 10am on Sunday (February 18) after leaving his home in Goldbeaters Grove, Edgware, to go for a short walk.

Metropolitan Police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare after he did not return to his home.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing jeans, black shoes and a black cardigan, and was carrying his walking stick.

He is deaf and suffers from dementia, so may be confused.

Mr Battman is described as white, about 5ft 7 ins tall and of thin build, and is known to frequent Edgware, Edmonton and Totteridge Lakes.

If you see Mr Battman or know of his whereabouts, contact police on 101 or Missing People on 116000.
