A festive window display adorned a charity shop this month.

Oxfam in Edgware was decorated with hearts and red fabric to celebrate Valentine's Day, made from donated items and paper which was heading for the recycling bin.

The theme of the display is 'find love the second time around' to encourage people to consider purchasing second-hand items in store.

Manisha Chilkoti, the shop manager, said: "We have had a great response from customers and are so inspired that we would love to continue showcasing windows like this in the future.

"One of our customers, Danielle, along with volunteers Megan, Joanne, Aina, Asaala, Amal and deputy manager Chihiro have tried to spread the word of love in our community and to remind people that Oxfam raises money to help fight poverty."

Danielle Isaacs gave suggestions on doing the special window display for Valentine's Day, which was up throughout the week.

The staff at Oxfam in Edgware hope the window will inspire locals to spread the love around through donations of pre-loved goods that will benefit both those who buy and charity.
