A primary school which only moved into its permanent building this school year has opened a new soccer camp for children.

Watling Park School in Pavilion Way, Burnt Oak, opened in 2015 in temporary accommodation and moved into their permanent building in September 2017, where there is also a 3G pitch.

The school has now arranged a partnership with Superstar Sport NWL to run a soccer camp on Saturday morning for children aged three-11, to be held on the pitch every week.

Sonia Mallick, acting headteacher at the school, said: "I am delighted to see the children enjoying the MUGA. It is our aim for our children to be true ‘all-rounders’ so the opportunity this facility affords is marvellous.

"We can ensure that we do indeed nurture healthy bodies alongside healthy minds!"

Chris Lindsey, director of Superstar Sport, said: "We are excited to be working with Watling Park School to open a local community soccer school on their brand new MUGA.

"SuperStar Sport are proud to be continuing to bring sport to the local community and invite you to come down to see for yourself."

The sessions started on February 24 and will run each and every Saturday from 9-10am.
