Men have been arrested after thieves broke into several homes and stole cars.

Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Mobile Scorpion Team have arrested and charged three people in connection with burglaries from “high value” vehicles in Hoddesdon, Potters Bar, Welham Green and Barnet.

In Potters Bar, thieves broke into numerous properties and stole a Mercedes and several other cars.

At the end of March, a property in Creekmore Lane, Barnet was also broken into, believed to be by the same gang.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged alongside John Power, 18, Trewint Street, Earlsfield and James O'Brien, 18, Dove House Mead, Barking.

They appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on April 5 and were remanded into custody.

They are next due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on May 4.

The charges follow an investigation by Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Mobile Scorpion Team and the Specialist Investigation Team who specialise in dealing with cross border organised crime groups.
