A sports club will be celebrating its 150 year anniversary next month.

The Mill Hill Village Sports Club in Burtonhole Lane, Mill Hill, is celebrating its anniversary with a series of events to raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

They will be hosting a quiz night, summer family fun day fete and summer ball on June 30.

There will also be an anniversary cricket match at Mill Hill in August and a match at Lord's in September.

The profits from these events will be split between Noah's Ark and the club itself.

A club spokesperson said: “Our 150 year celebrations and fundraising are taking place in support of our nominated charity partner, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

“Mill Hill Village Sports Club are delighted to be able to support our charity partner as they build the ark to provide more care for more children and their families.

“The more money we can raise as a club, the more we will be able to contribute to this hugely worthwhile charity and cause.

“We would love to become an even more integral part of the community in what is a thriving and rapidly expanding part of the borough.

“We look forward to providing sport, recreation and physical well-being in a safe, social and friendly local environment for another 150 years.”
