Almost every child who applied on time for a school place this year has been offered their top three choices.

This year, 95 per cent of Barnet residents who applied for primary schools on time received an offer of a place at one of their top three choices of schools.

Whilst almost 85 per cent were offered their first choice of schools.

Barnet Council’s strategic director for Children and Young People, Chris Munday, said: “We are very pleased that we’ve once again been able to achieve positive results for so many children in the borough.

“We try our best to supply the right number of school place.

“So we’re delighted that every child who parent applied on time has received an offer of a place.”

These figures are similar to those of the previous year with the same percentage of residents receiving a place at one of their top three school choices and the same percentage being offered their first choice.
