Children who won an art competition were presented with awards.
Enfield Council teamed up with Barnet and Southgate College to give children in Year 5 and 6 the chance to show their artistic talents off.
The winners of the Mayor's Award for Visual Arts were then presented with awards and certificates by the Mayor of Enfield, Christine Hamilton.
Alyson Cook, creative arts curriculum manager from Barnet and Southgate College said: “The standard of the entries from all the primary school children has been outstanding.
“We were really impressed with their artistic ability and use of colour and texture.
“This year there were 42 entries from 19 Enfield primary schools, it was extremely difficult to choose just two winners and we’d like to congratulate all of the nominees.”
The competition was hosted on Barnet and Southgate College’s campus on Thursday, April 19.
Gwyneth Hamand, learning consultant for enrichment and progression from Enfield Council said: “The Mayor’s Award for visual Arts is going from strength to strength and we are delighted with the number of entries and the quality of the art work this year.
“Barnet and Southgate College has done a great job running the training for teachers and supporting the competition.
“That has resulted in a high level of buy in from Enfield Primary Schools and the really high quality of art work from Enfield’s young artists.”
