A two-storey house blaze has destroyed a roof and heavily damaged the first floor.
Two people escaped the building before Firefighters arrived in Glendale Avenue, Edgware.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and police officers were called to the fire at 8.40pm and the fire was under control at 10.06pm.
Station manager Jon Holt said: "Crews worked extremely hard to stop the fire spreading and contain it to the roof of the property."
Fire crews from Mill Hill, Harrow, Hendon, Barnet and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
