The stakes are already sky high for the semi-final between Saracens and Wasps – and it will be an extra special day for Jackson Wray.

The back row has racked up 199 appearances in Sarries colours and is in the side to start at Allianz Park on Saturday.

He has impressed throughout the current campaign as Mark McCall’s charges finished second in the table behind Exeter – with Wray collecting both Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Season accolades.

And ten years on from his debut for the Men in Black, the 27-year-old admitted it would be an emotional occasion as he takes to the turf once more.

“It doesn’t feel that long ago it was my 100th,” said Wray.

“Earlier on in the season I didn’t think it was going to happen this year but I’m really pleased.

“There’s a great crop of players who have done it in recent years. I’ll be very proud going out there having played 200 games for this club and going out with my two little ones.

“It will be a bit of an emotional one. When the boys go out with their kids and stuff it’s a nice thing.

“To do it in front of the home crowd is great and to be honest, I feel lucky in that sense to swing a home game!

“It’s going to be special. I’m looking forward to putting on a performance as well. It’s a massive game for the club and the boys.”
