School children from faith schools taught primary school pupils about their religions at a Diversity event held at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground.
Four primary schools, including Oakmere at Potters Bar and Parkside, Kenilworth and Cowley Hill from Borehamwood, sent 10 pupils each, who were a mix of boys and girls.
They were taught by six pupils from Yavneh College secondary school in Borehamwood and six children from two secondary schools in Islington.
Arsenal in the Community invited the Year Nine secondary school children, who represented Islamic, Roman Catholic and Jewish schools and brought in six objects relating to their faith.
The secondary pupils were split into three groups and each group prepared a short presentation as a group, working together, with the focus being to describe the three faiths using the objects they had brought in.
BTEC students from Arsenal supported and coached the pupils before having the opportunity to play football on the indoor pitch.
