Here is the footage of an unexploded WWII bomb discovered on a building site being blown up in a controlled explosion.

The British Army were called in to assess the device after emergency services were contacted at around 2pm on June 19 with reports a device had been found in Rowan Drive, Hendon.

The decision was taken shortly after to perform a controlled explosion yesterday (June 20) at around 12pm.

A structure containing the device was filled with sand and other explosives prior to detonation.

An 86metre cordon was set up and the building site and local school, North London Grammar School, were both closed all day.

Train lines close to the detonation site did not run during the explosion time because the “ground shake” may have affected the tracks.

Network Rail were also on the scene and were expected to conduct an inspection immediately after the explosion.
