AIDY BOOTHROYD parted company with his chief scout Mark Stow this afternoon, it is understood.
The Watford boss summoned Stow to a meeting at the club's training ground and told him his services were no longer required.
Stow, whose son is a member of the club's Academy, has spent the last five years at Watford and was the man responsible for discovering Al Bangura.
Boothroyd also showed David Hockaday and Chris Cummins the door this time last year while Keith Burkinshaw left the club just before Christmas.
Stow, who has been scouting players in the French and Dutch leagues, leaves the club midway through the transfer window.
Back in September when the club appointed John Stephenson as Head of Recruitment, Mark Ashton told Watford's website: "John is highly adept in the logistical and management side of bringing players in and I believe his input will support both Aidy and Mark Stow will (sic) take us to the next level and only serve to improve our recruitment process."
