An eagle-eyed star gazer was able to spot a moving space craft in the skies above Finchley on Saturday night.
Donald Lyven, from Glenhill Close, snapped the International Space Station (ISS) as it passed over London just before 6.15pm.
The 52-year-old astronomy and space travel enthusiast was in the grounds of Avenue House, East End Road, when he used a 15 second exposure to capture the ISS with the Shuttle Atlantis attached, moving through the sky.
"It is not widely known that there is a massive space station up there and it can be extremely bright and visible in the sky," he said.
"I have got a number of shots of it over the years, and it's nice to get something in the foreground."
The ISS can be seen on a cycle during a clear night, for just a few minutes each time.
Details of when it is visible from London can be found on the Nasa website: www.nasa.gov.
