Paul Gustard is keen to pledge his future to Saracens after falling under the spell of incoming boss Eddie Jones.
Saracens lost their third successive league game at London Irish on Saturday but Gustard is adamant the club's glory years are just around the corner.
The Men in Black face Ospreys in the EDF Energy Cup semi-finals later this month before hosting the glamour Welsh region in the last eight of the Heineken Cup in April.
And Gustard believes ending their painful wait for success this year would trigger a trophy-laden future, especially with former Australia coach Jones at the helm for the start of next season.
The flanker, who can also operate at number eight, says he would love to sign a new deal once his current contract expires at the end of the season.
"I'm certainly keen to stay at Saracens," said the 32-year-old. "I'm enjoying myself here and we're playing some good rugby. Saracens is one of those clubs that once you win a trophy big things can happen.
"We've got to win something for the fans and for Nigel Wray, who is a fantastic owner."
And Gustard believes there is no one better than taskmaster Jones to take current boss Alan Gaffney's progressive outfit to new heights.
"Eddie is revered around the world," added the Geordie. "I've met hima few times and all the lads want to know everything about him. There is something special about him and he works unbelievably hard to get the best out of you."
Primarily used as an impact player off the bench last season, Gustard has been one of the mainstayers of the team this campaign and is loving every second of it.
"I played around 25 times last year, mainly from the bench while I've been first choice from the word go this time," he said. "I think I'm one of the more consistent performers in the side who works hard for the team. I'm imposing myself a bit more than I did last season."
