A FORMER Tory borough councillor has been charged with making and possessing child pornography on his laptop computer.
Peter O'Brien, 46, of Drakes Way, Hatfield, is due to appear in front of Hertford magistrates on May 7, charged with 11 counts of making indecent images of children and two of possessing such images.
He resigned from Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, where he represented Welham Green, in October after officers raised concerns over his laptop during a routine upgrade.
