All 15 contestants were evacuated from the Big Brother house in Borehamwood following a bomb scare in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The show, recorded at Elstree Film Studios, in Shenley Road, had to stop its live steaming for two hours after a hoax caller phoned the studios claiming there was a bomb in the house.
Housemates were woken up and moved to a safe location while police checked the area.
This follows a security breach at the studios last month when two magazine journalists entered without any identification checks on the live launch night.
A Big Brother spokeswoman said: "Due to a security incident early Sunday morning it was necessary to remove the housemates from the Big Brother house as a safety precaution, which therefore caused a temporary break in the live streaming.
"After the necessary checks were made, housemates returned to the house without incident and streaming was resumed immediately."
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman said: "Officers attended the property at just after 1.15am and a thorough search was conducted by the security team, which revealed the call to be a hoax. The owners of the property chose to evacuate the premises while this took place."
