Potters Bar are champions of Home Counties Premier League Division Two East.

They saw off second-placed Bishops Stortford on Saturday and cannot now be caught by their nearest rivals, with just one match of the campaign to go.

Potters Bar made 225-8 from 60 overs, before bowling out their visitors for just 93.

It was another convincing victory, their 12th of the league campaign.

Their reward for a superb season is a place in Home Counties Premier League Division One next season.

* Barnet Bs are now safe from relegation.

They earned a winning draw at Harrow Town to secure their place in Middlesex County League Division Three.

And they almost gained a remarkable win thanks to some magnificent hitting by number eight batsman Hammad Bukhari.

In a few overs of destructive batting, he scored a bludgeoning 67 runs off only 40 balls.

With four overs left, Barnet needed a most unlikely 47 runs to win. However, such was the power of his hitting, 28 runs came off the penultimate over, which included three towering sixes. Unfortunately, Bukhari was caught in the deep going for his fourth large hit of the over.

This left the Bs needing 14 off the last over, but, with another wicket falling off the first ball, they batted out for a winning draw.

In Middlesex County League Division One, third-placed Finchley drew with Eastcote, while Stanmore and Brondesbury also played out a draw.

Ealing have already secured the title, but Finchley can finish second if they win their final match.
