Chalgrove Community Primary School in Chalgrove Gardens, Finchley, has a new headteacher in Helen Schmitz.
She joins the school after three years working for Barnet Council's inspection and advisory service as a advisor on the National Literacy Strategy.
Mrs Schmitz previously taught in Hertfordshire.
